Lessons I need to Learn about Sharing my work.
This week I read Show Your Work! by Austin Kleon, and it is full of quotes and wisdom such as:
“The best way to get started on the path to sharing your work is to think about what you want to learn, and make a commitment to learning it in front of others.”
and
“The problem with hoarding is you end up living off your reserves. Eventually, you’ll become stale. If you give away everything you have, you are left with nothing. This forces you to look, to be aware, to replenish. . . . Somehow the more you give away, the more comes back to you.”
I have been hoarding knowledge for a long time and not using it or sharing anything I have learned. So this will be the beginning of me sharing my work, what I am doing, and what I am learning in any way I see fit. It may be rough in the beginning, but I will get better and more refined as time goes on.
So I will begin by saying my writing will be rough at first. I am choosing to do this so I can get used to writing and explaining things to people who may not understand the technology behind what I am writing about.
If you have any advice or suggestions, look me up and let me know. I really enjoy feedback.
